Highland Quercetin Nettle Allergy Formula

Quercetin is a very active bioflavonoid that is often found in grapefruit, green tea, onion, and evening primrose, among other plants. Studies have shown that Quercetin inhibits the manufacture and release of histamine from the mast cells, thereby effecting allergy symptoms such as runny nose and watery itchy eyes. It also acts as an antioxidant. Vitamin C inhibits histamine release and helps break it down.

Each mediator has a specific function:Histamine and Serotonin are designed to constrict smooth muscle cells.

Prostaglandins can regulate the release of histamine.

Serotonin increases vascular permeability, allowing for fluid to accumulate in the affected parts of the body.

Bradykinin which is a potent vasodilator that increases the permeability of the blood vessels.

Unfortunately, the release of all these compounds can be uncomfortable for the host - you! There is help: Quercetin/Nettle Plus
